Ben's Babies

Last February, my sewing area was taken over by Dr Strangelove...
Actually, that would be a pretty good blog name for Ben! But he shall remain named. This year he has improved massively on the lighting arrangements for his heated seed mats.
He is determined to get his seedlings (tomato, sweet pea etc) off to a great start, as if they start too late down here they die in the dry heat.
Here are his babies, or his 'little soldiers' as he sometimes calls them...
The boys and I can now expect to come second to his tender darlings!

I see you use the heated mats to keep your cups of tea warm too! Nice. It's always good when you discover another use for a product. Don't naughty people grow things like this under heat lamps??? Ha ha.

Yes, interested to see that he is raising mugs of coffee too!
Would not be pleased to lose my sewing area!

Actually, the coffee cups contain soaking sweet pea seeds!

And yes, I did go to some rather iffy shops (with the boys!!!) last year in search of those heated mats...

Oh I love this time of the year, last year my tiny garden was neglected, having given up my allotment I am going to cherish it this year and fill it with little flowers... your little greenhouses look so promising.

All this propogation really puts a few poor bulbs in their place! I am determined to dig out the weed/veg patch this year after such inspiration- though cups of tea will have to go cold here! I am loving the Lenten posts of your bloggistes, which is another area of being put in a place, but most delightfully so!

Awe, I love the garden! I have my own heirloom tomatoes up in my greenhouse, along with some flowers, and other things. I've even thought of growing some grass in there to use for plugs in the bare spots in my lawn! On rainy days, it's nice to have a gardening spot you can go to! I'm glad you can all share the spot!
