Brilliant Blogger!

Son 2 with his head stuck in a book... I showed you how many of this series I picked up second hand in Edinburgh last month, and Serenata the Balancing Kiwi asked me which were still missing, as she'd found them in her local Charity Shop. I let her know and she picked up the two shown on top here, and sent them over like a shot - thanks so much, Serenata!
But the best (and the worst) was yet to come. I'd ordered the second book from an Amazon vendor (second hand, of course), so that it would arrive quickly for Son 2, keeping him on his newfound reading curve. And It Didn't Arrive. The vendor sent an email via Amazon explaining that the Royal Mail had lost the parcel sack for a while and were now back on track. But It Still Didn't Arrive. I sent some emails (via Amazon) to the vendor. But It STILL Didn't Arrive. The vendor refunded me today... But Serenata the Balancing Kiwi got wind of this situation and, even whilst ill, went back to her Charity Shop and bought the book for a now ecstatic Son 2! All Hail Serenata!
Just a quick glimpse of my happy space now that it's gone pale and interesting for the sunshine. Somehow red suddenly looked wrong.

I'm left reflecting on how kind and wonderful is the world of blogging that I've discovered.

Kind and interesting indeed. The boys love the jigsaw and it got some action straight from school today! I love the buttons and will be spending some time sorting them and wooing at them all. A great big thank you. Can you send me your address as the boys would like to send a thank you card

Dear Floss, I believe that all generosity and good comes back to you once it has been passed. You are the best example of this.
Warm greetings to you and your family. Nina

How kind of Serenata. I have a little someone here whom I think might like those books too. All the better to find them in charity shops as they go through books like water, I find. Better that than video games though, hey?

It gave me a lot of pleasure to do this for your son and I'm delighted he is enjoying them.

I'm sure I don't deserve a post though!

I think Nina above has just summed it up - as you give, so shall you receive! clearly a lot of people out there enjoy helping you out and it is a blessing for them too. That Simple Abundance book must have something to do with it - but I can't take a whole year to read it - I want to be old and wise right now!
