I'm a happily married mum of two boys, aged 17 and 19, and as a family we moved to France eleven years ago. My husband works for a French company, I teach English to French people aged 6 - 60, and English reading and writing to the English-speaking children of the area. We are part of an English speaking church in Lyon. I love to shop for French vintage lace, fabric and household items, and to combine them with my British and global treasures in interesting ways.
Thanks for coming over to my British-meets-French Vintage blog! Please leave a comment - I love to hear from anyone who takes the time to read my posts, and I try to pop back and visit your blogs whenever I can.

Reality Check
I am not a perfect mother or housewife. There is dog hair under the sofa and the boys eat with their elbows on the table, however much they're nagged. I just assume you'd rather see the pretty stuff!
That all looks so pretty, we don't get lovely embroidered stuff like this in thrift shops in my area ... but I haven't given up looking. I am thinking of doing a seasonal corner like you but would have to collect some stuff first, so maybe in a few months...
I love seeing all of your beautiful linens on the line...I am back at The Little House after being gone 2 weeks, it's good to be back. I hope I am able to send this off as I had to give up on my laptop at the Vancouver house. Have a great weekend..our Mothers Day is Sunday so I will be planting my window boxes and other fun things.
Good to hear! Our week of pouring rain still continues.. Started last Monday - so I hope it will be over tmrw - fingers crossed! Those are very lovely embroideries..
As for the shoes - I'd like to have a pair of the same shoes each in a different colour. Can't wait till they start making them :P

Glad you had a good drying day - it's been dull and freezing here today! That table linen all looks lovely - thinking of you ironing it all now!

What a nice mother's day I am having!
There is nothing better than being able to hang out the washing! Lizzie (aka the washerwoman of course!)
You have sunshine - I am envious!
We've had rain & grey skies all week :(
Yep, makes my heart sign to see linen on the line. Have a great Sunday
Nice photographs and beautiful embroidery. I like the way the sun shines through the fabric. Gives an almost stained glass effect.
Just PERFECT! Your beautiful vintage linens are such a treat to see x
