Raja wears the Cone of Shame...

If you've seen the film 'Up!' ('Là-haut' in French)... you'll know what 'the Cone of Shame' is.
Raja has been wearing it for some days, as she had an operation (very simple and successful) and then attempted to bite out the stitches! Well, duh! as Son 1 would say...
It hasn't stopped her playing her favourite autumn game with Son 1: 'Catch the blackberry',
and she should be free of it tomorrow, when the stitches come out!

Dillon has not had to wear "The cone of shame " but "The sock of annoyance" recently after he cut open his paw. Had hoped the stitches were coming out today..... now on Monday- we are all going MAD !!!
Loved your comment - tell me, for a Clingon costume - did you look like a Cornish pasty ?!

So funny! I'm sure Raja will be very happy to be rid of that cone!

Oh how awful for Raja! It must drive dogs crazy to wear such a thing. I do hope the wound heals super quick.

Oh dear, poor Raja! I do feel for the poor thing. I know I shouldn't have laughed, but whenever our dogs had to wear one of those dreadful things at one time or another, they had terrible trouble getting up the stairs. The "lampshade" kept getting caught on the steps, and it was quite hilarious to see them getting more and more cross, stumbling up the stairs. Bad me, I know. When Poppy had her op a few months ago, she was so good about her stitches, she didn't have to wear the cone at all, thankfully.

I agree with Lululiz, when our old dog Sam had to wear one, he kept getting it caught on the hearth and couldn't walk any further forward, no matter how hard he tried. It was worth it for the comedy moment, but I did feel sorry for him! Poor Raja, I hope she gets better soon.

Hello Floss
It has been a mad week or 2 in our house. I can't remember whether I emailed you...or not?
But to be sure commenting here just to say my package arrived safely from you, beautifully wrapped...what a great idea using the pages of old maps, buttons and ribbons. THANK YOU. The tin and buttons are beautiful, the tin is soo nice I have decided to keep it myself. But have sent my vintage swap partner another tin with pastoral scene on it and flowers, and of course the buttons have gone to her too, along with Swedish and English vintage items. Will post on my blog shortly when I know she has definitely received them and will link to your lovely shop!

Hope your dog recovers well, ooh it must be uncomfortable for them...

Have a wonderful weekend
LOVE PEACE enJOY
