Vive la révolution! France is on strike today (again).
The age of retirement is in danger of going up (only to what it already is is most of the rest of Europe),
and teachers are also out on strike over cuts in their numbers - all timed to disrupt the Rentrée. I am very much in favour of the right to strike, but I feel it's a little over-used here! The boys are enjoying a few shorter school days, though...
And for prettiness: Vintage French ribbons, recently thrifted, and now on my washing line.
They're hanging in front of the flag drape which normally covers up the rather mucky wall by our stairs.
I had fun making that a few years ago...

I heard about the teachers' strike from my French friend with whom I spoke yesterday - the French really do love a greve or manifestation don't they!! Pretty ribons and love the drape.

The French do love to strike don't they!
The ribbons are very pretty.
I read about the strikes on line this morning. Hope all goes well.
Good heavens, that seems quite a strike!
I love your flag drape and I am a sucker for vintage French ribbon! It looks so lovely on the line.
Your strikes made our evening news - if only to illustrate that we are lucky its only the tube workers that are striking here at the moment!!
Wall hanging is a great idea - very pretty :)
They certainly know when to time their strikes! Lovely flag drape, and pretty ribbons.
Looks like I got home just in time!
Looks like strikes everywhere today! We were striking on the London Underground today. I don't really like to!
Do pop over to take part in my massive giveaway!
I rather like the way the French stand up for themselves unlike us lot over here who just grumble into their beer.
Oh I'm so excited about the magazine swap- I have a little pile all ready to go!
