Blogging connections and a giveaway winner

Life is strangely busy here in the (slowly) melting snow. I'm popping in to draw the giveaway winner for this, but before I do I just want to tell you what else I'd like to share with you in the next two holidays weeks. I want to tell you how blogging led to Son 2 getting hooked on incredibly complex mazes, created by a young man on the other side of the world...

I want to share a recipe (especuially for Serenata) which originally came to me years ago from the lovely Sumea, who blogs when she can at Morikomiori.

I want to share my Thrill of What You Already Have photo - lots of people have already done their posts, and my collection is made, but not yet posted:

I want to tell you what Son 2 is cooking up for Valentine's Day!

But before I have time for any of that, I'll pick the giveaway winner. I just want to say that giveaways can be such a good way to meet friends - one year I got to know Kit, when she won a giveaway of mine (English roses, I think), and then I got to know her daughter, too, who also has a blog! I really enjoy following both of their mountain-living blogs now, and their lovely comments here. So now to the draw...

Ooh - the winner is Gill, who made the second comment! Congratulations Gill - I will email you and I'll need to know your address so that I can post your parcel!

I'm waiting for my thrill post as I am bout to empty the dining room in order to paint it, and what I have in mind will be going in there once the painting is done!

Lucky Gill. I am struggling with my photo for this month Floss! I keep very few ornaments so am going to have to be resourceful!
