Taking a blogging break

Hello friends, it's time for one of those breaks. I'm on the mend from the flu and busy again... see you in one week, but in the meantime, I won't be visiting my blog or yours. I'll still check my emails, of course, if you need me! Have a good week...

Another little break...

Hi friends, I've scheduled a post for the Pause in Lent, but otherwise, I guess we're all feeling slightly bruised here around Toulouse, and I've also spent far too much time glued to screens trying to follow what was happening. All in all, this calls for another blogging break! I won't be visiting my blog or yours for a week - see you next Saturday!

A Brief Break

Dead T-Shirt Make Do and Mend

Here's a boy (number 2 in our family) in a boy's fleece. When I bought it this afternoon, though (1€50 special offer on fleeces at Veti Relais, the charity shop)...

it was a girl's fleece. Eew!

Double eew!

Thanks to a tiny T-shirt that Son 2 outgrew years ago, but which he'd begged me to keep because one day I might do something with it, he now has a fleece with his favourite glow-in-the-dark Puerto Rican frog on it again!

I'm quite pleased with the results of an hour's blanket-stitching. His response when he saw his frog ride again? "Cool!"

PS - DS allowed as it's Friday night, in case you were wondering about my relaxation of the 'no video games on week nights' rule!

Time for a break

I've just realised it's been a month since my last blogging break - and it feels like time for another (in the nicest possible sense).I'll be off for a week, not looking at my blog or yours, but I will be planning my London trip and answering emails, so I'm not completely out of touch! Poor Old House

We are feeling better, but after days of boys cutting up paper and leaving lego lying around, a hairy dog and cat, and me feeling sick, the house is rather the worse for wear.

I'm not coming back on the blog until I've fixed it! (And given that I'm at work tomorrow, this could mean Tuesday at the earliest.) Meanwhile, please make do with my pretty pictures from the last few days and this:
