Firstly, it's tempting to leave my Silly Little Question up a bit longer and see how many more replies it elicits! (27 at the moment!) As Kali says, 'aren't we such a bunch of quirky gals?'

I'm very tempted by Jeannette's offer to crochet me a flower, but unfortunately, I think that the position of the hole makes it the wrong place for a 3D embellishment. Thanks so much for the offer though, Jeannette. You know that I could never make one myself...

But as this big bag of felt indicates, Pomona's suggestion has the happy coincidence of being both practical and attainable, as I do indeed have a Big Bag of Felt! I found it in a drawer in my parents' house, and the general feeling is that it belonged to my grandmother. How good to be a Third Generation Hoarder...
