Still no charity shops...

It's Bastille Day back at home today, but none of us is there to celebrate! Ben's at Leipzig Zoo for a conference evening 'Do' and the boys and I are in Edinburgh, with no more than a quick, whistful look at a charity shop as we passed some on the bus today... We were on the way back from Our Dynamic Earth, which is an entertaining and educational way to pass a rainy afternoon...
It wasn't deliberate to dress the boys in matching clothes - they just seem to do it by accident every now and then!

My older brother will be heading to scotland soon to start his PHd in Education. He is so lucky to have traveled so much in his studies. Enjoy your visit!!

Oh dear, still no nifty thrifty bargains? I haven't been to a charity shop for a bit either, I never seem to have the time these days, waahh. How much longer are you going to be in Scotland?

Yes the school holidays are when we seem to miss out on the things we enjoy aren't they? I have to bargain hard at the moment to get to go to my shops sometimes. I'm dying to get back to the quilting shop at the moment. Problem is, the little girls go stupid in there and it's a little embarassing! I've never been so exhausted in the holidays before. We seem to be doing so much. Time for a day off I'd say. Have fun with the boys!

We have not been to Dynamic Earth yet as I wasn't sure of my two were too young to appreciate it ~ it looks as though your boys were enjoying it, but it does seem aimed at older children :O)

Oh the wistful charity shop glance...don't we all know that one?! It looks like you had some fun anyway with the boys. Don't they look gorgeous sitting there in their red tshirts? I bet my Bill would enjoy Dynamic Earth, it looks great! xoxo

Oh Floss, I'm so glad that I am having the same crisis as you and that I am quite normal after all! I think I will just wrap your pressie today and just send it. It's quite hard to know what to give people we hardly know, isn't it? I'm sure you will get a good laugh out of mine anyway. Hey, I can always send you something else another time.
