Reality Check
I am not a perfect mother or housewife. There is dog hair under the sofa and the boys eat with their elbows on the table, however much they're nagged. I just assume you'd rather see the pretty stuff!

Picnic in the snow
In all the excitement of Wind in the Willows picnics last week, I mentioned the picnic in the snow...and this one is yesterday's! Son 1 and his dad only, with the luxury of tables, stools, fried sausages and tomato soup...
How wonderful to be outside enjoying such beauty...here in the mountains our temperature is -8 degrees...a bit too cold for a picnic right now though :(
Oh Floss it looks amazing - I can even taste the sausage sandwich, I'm sorry I didnt get to blog about the advent calendar, my dad was taken really ill and it looked for a while like we might lose him so most "normal" things went out of the window. I loved opening the window eaxh day and the messages XX

What an experience that must have been .... thank for sharing Floss x
What a beautiful place to bring up your children with treats like this at weekends. I can see why it's worth moving to France.
We love picnics in the snow too but we do not take a fancy BBQ with us!

Words like, 'stunning' and 'wow' spring to mind! Lucky things.
Never had a picnic in the snow, I imagine it could be a lot of fun though. And that backdrop, sigh, thats just beautiful.
That is the most stunning photo - snow, sausages and tomato soup - my eldest would have love that.
A real boys' day out and what a wonderful way for father and son to spend time together.
Looks fab x
I can't think of anything nicer than tomato soup and hot sausage sandwiches, maybe just some fried onions, but I am known for my pickiness, x
