... became Britain last Friday!
We sat on a patriotic sofa,
and ate a union flag cake decorated by Son 1,
with 'red, white and blue' layers - the boys made one colour each (I did the 'white' one).
We continue to have a great time with Ben's best of British mum, and are hoping to go to an animal park tomorrow, if the weather doesn't break! Thanks for all your lovely comments and I'll be around, if not very much just yet...

What a cake!!
Continue to enjoy your family time, Floss.
How absolutely lovely! The cake looks quite yummy. It was such a fabulous day for celebration. God bless the bride & groom!
Blissful tidings!

Everything was fixed up so festive for the big event. You thought of it all, even down to the colorful cake. It was a very beautiful and touching wedding, one of my favorite parts was when she came out on to the balcony and saw all of the people and it looked like she said "Oh my!" How sweet.
Yum! May I have a slice of that cake, please? How nice that the cake was a joint effort!
Cake looks great - the decoration is fab :)
I loved Friday - just felt like everyone was happy - here's to more days like that :)
Fantastic!
Oh what fun!
Certainly looks like you had your own special party - the cake is great, what fun!
Yes, it was a great day for celebrating. Even though I was not that interested at the beginning, I got caught and cried my eyes out. Such a welcome break from all the bad news, and a nice little time in fairy / dream land.
(Reminds me that I was talking about the Queen and our British assistant asked "what Queen ?" - to her there are other monarchies in Europe, but well, there's no denying it : the British have THE monarchy).
And in August, we'll attend another wedding in England, closer to home : my sister's !
Very patriotic! Love the cake, brilliant! Enjoy your blogging break!
