It's June, so it must be...

... pink roses and pearly buttons... No hardship there, Nicki! Nicki's beautiful calendar from Nostalgia at the Stone House has a vintage wedding-theme for June. I am going to have to go back and give this page a really good study - there is just so much there.
I've gone for an under-stated interpretation of the theme myself - I know Ben appreciates understated, and he doesn't get it very often from me, so this is my June gift to him...
Vintage French rosy jug, vintage English rosy plate, vintage Mother of Pearl buttons and old-fashioned white roses from the archway in the garden.

Happy June!

I think we all had a lot of fun with our camp blanket stories and opinions on my last post. If anyone wants to swap some badges, email me and I'll see what I can do from this end!

I like it too. I love those buttons around the plate best. They have such a lovely old look to them that makes me smile.
P.S. What happened to your party posting? Did you change your mind perhaps? I was really looking forward to seeing you all fancied up.

The roses are lovely, and that little vignette is so sweet.
Hmmm, you got cold feet about letting us see you at long last?? What happened to the photo? Well, the whole post really? You know we won't let you get away with it, lol.

Grr... the party post was scheduled for Friday, when I'll be busy with the school fair, and it popped up too soon! So if you just wait until I'm busy with the English stand on Friday, you will see all!

Oh Floss, what a good idea to put the buttons around the jug, it looks so effective! It is so lovely to mark each changing month with a display, and this one is charming. I love buttons! Thank you for your comments on my blog, yes, Cumbria does feel so much like part of our home, I have spent an awful lot of time there, we used to have a few static caravans over the years in Cumbria, so I feel like I have lived there! I bet your time in Ambleside was lovely, I love Ambleside! Hope your weekend is a good one Floss! Suzie xxx
