Over at
A Bun Can Dance, Denise has coined the presidential-sounding acronym P.O.A.T.S. for her Provider of All Things Secondhand. I think s/he has been visiting me recently too, as I found THIS in
Veti Relais on Friday!
Oh, swoon.
I've seen this mottled French vintage enamel before but not been too keen on the beige variety. Then I found the greenish lunch box in a
VG (full of mosaic tiles), and hit the jackpot with the coffee set this Friday! I paid 2€ for the lunch box (without its seal) and 5€ for the admittedly battered set. Look at the prices for (better) pieces of enamelware in the lovely
French Garden House...
And would you like a peep at my 'collection' of rosy enamel bowls? That's good, because I'd like to show you...
I'll leave you with a bouquet of wild and garden flowers picked and arranged by Son 2. You do realise he runs and shouts and stomps and whines and hits his brother too, don't you? He's not all cake and flowers...
Thanks for all the fun last week - I really enjoyed and appreciated all your comments, and your blog posts too, although life was too hectic to comment much. This week looks like more of the same, but have a great one!

I love enamel ware, and I really love that kind! Suzie xxx
I'm swooning too at the sight of that lovely enamelware you have. I've seen it in beige and you're right, the blue is so much prettier. Looking through your posts makes me realise how quickly the time is going by and that it's been a while since I popped in. I do hope your Mum is as comfortable as she can be. Take care.

Oh those rosie bowls...sigh! Hope you have a happy week Floss xo
Oh yes I'm rather fond of enamel myself and the rose bowls are so sweet.
HI good Floss!
Love the bouquet from a good boy. Your bowls are lovely and I can see why you love them so!
I see some thrift shopping in my near future.
I'm still so amazed at your gardening mother. So amazed.
It is clear that the P.O.A.T.S. looks fondly upon you with your enamelware...I find it hard to believe that #2 is anything but a perfect child. Have a good day.
Ah, I'm not sure if I published my comment properly - so here goes again!
I adore your enamelware and the floral dishes are just delightful - I've never seen anything like those before!
Thank you for the link :-)
POATS is, I am sure, a woman - don't you agree? She is so bountiful and dangles those treasures before us to see if we'll recognise them for the beautiful things they are.
Wishing you happy days,
Denise x
Love it! The coffee pot is my favourite and the colours are lovely, I can't imagine them in beige somehow, blue suits them very well, I hope POATS has a hand in my charity shop shopping this coming weekend!
This is the 2nd post that I've read thats making me want to come to France for my hols - I fancy a rummage in a flea market or sale room.
I love the flowery bowls, but am not too sure about the mottled ware, each to there own, which is what makes the world turn. Hope your mum is OK, thinking of you all
I've never seen such lovely enamel Floss ! We had the traditional bread tin - white with a blue trim and the same for camping plates & mugs - oh I can remember the smell drinking hot chocolate from enamel mugs !
