It's April, so it must be violets!

Toulouse is famous for its violets. They grow all around the area... ... and are crystalised as a delicious cake decoration!
So surely, when Niki's calendar is full of violets this month, I can find some to make a little vignette?
Oops, I think we ate all of them, except for this:
It does make a very pretty backdrop for a spring bird's nest from Ele, though.
So April's display is simple, but effective, I think!
Thanks so much for your kind comments below.

Aprils' display is simply sweet. The vintage cloth looks to be in perfect condition, very pretty.

I keep finding litle groups of violets in the garden, I think they have seeded themselves. Your cloth is so pretty.

where do you find so many beautiful embroidered cloths? you have such a good collection, I am eagerly awaiting violets to appear in the woods - occasionally one appears in the garden, they make me think of fairies.

You always make such a sweet vignet.
I wonder how those violets taste, and the grains of mimosa. Must be a delicatesse.
And I agree with the others, your collection of tablecloth is a point of envy! ;)

Pretty! Wild violets usually pop up in one of my flower beds, but they have not made their appearance yet this Spring.

I love the violet color, it is both calm and vibrant. It comes out beautifully on your photos. It also reminded me bout the violet candy you once sent me - yum and thanks!
