Reality Check
I am not a perfect mother or housewife. There is dog hair under the sofa and the boys eat with their elbows on the table, however much they're nagged. I just assume you'd rather see the pretty stuff!
Make crumbs and freeze them for use later. Make croutons for your soup. I love bread and butter pudding but DH doesn't so it isn't something I make. Carol xx
I make breadcrumbs for nut - roasts, which altho' recipes vary are usually about one third ground nuts to two thirds breadcrumbs. Btw, did you know you can make bread-and-butter pudding with stale brioche? I have never tried, but it sounds yummy. Happy day, thrifty friend! xx H

Funny you should ask I just made bread pudding for the first time...I can't wait to try it!!
Bread and butter pudding too!
I first had eggy bread when I was a Girl guide, and still make it occasionally.
Mmmm...we have always called this French toast...and it's my all time favorite breakfast. You've made me hungry for it. ; )
