I'm a happily married mum of two boys, aged 17 and 19, and as a family we moved to France eleven years ago. My husband works for a French company, I teach English to French people aged 6 - 60, and English reading and writing to the English-speaking children of the area. We are part of an English speaking church in Lyon. I love to shop for French vintage lace, fabric and household items, and to combine them with my British and global treasures in interesting ways.
Thanks for coming over to my British-meets-French Vintage blog! Please leave a comment - I love to hear from anyone who takes the time to read my posts, and I try to pop back and visit your blogs whenever I can.

Reality Check
I am not a perfect mother or housewife. There is dog hair under the sofa and the boys eat with their elbows on the table, however much they're nagged. I just assume you'd rather see the pretty stuff!
This is going to be my dish with Thanksgiving turkey this holiday Monday (here in Canada it is Thanksgiving). Don't you find people eat extra helpings of vegetable when roasted?
Was saying to my husband two nights ago that I am getting so tired of salads and raw veg and have a growing desire for hot food - and said I would like to roast some veggies soon (it's my preferred way of eating cooked vegetables - other than shoving them into soup).
I love mixing butternut squash, mushrooms, courgette, tomatoes, red peppers and shallots, garlic with a mix of olive oil, honey and balsamic vinegar.
I've been reading back through some posts. You are quite a collector and very creative with the stuff you have. I love younger son's revamped girly fleece!

Oh, your veggie roast looks delicious!
We had snow this morning and I said to Bill, "Now, the gardeners can give up."

Looks yummy - definitely feeling the urge for hot food now ...:0)
Love roasted vegetables. They are so comforting, somehow. I mix courgettes, peppers, tomatoes, shallots , garlic and top with Basil leaves.

Oof. Roasted veg. So delicious and comforting!
Looks good - I have a veggie casserole in the oven as I type as you say the autumn is a time for such goodies.
Yum yum.
BTW I won't mention the rugby ;)
I love roasted vegetables! Especially butternut squash, sweet potato and parsnip together. Yum.
This year's autumn in New York is so strange. Last week it was chilly with layers of sweaters and scarves required.
Then yesterday and today the sun returned, and wearing socks made my feet too warm.
I love the look of your roasted vegetables!
Cheers.
