Think you`d better explain to the uninitiated what the `Hairy Bikers` are/do? I always seem to catch them when I`m starving!lol Hope you`re having fun/keeping warm in Auld Reekie and that you Dad`s faring a bit better now. x
But you have brocantes, vide greniers, more sunshine, no waiting for X-Rays.... :)
It's true that the quality of French TV programmes has been steadily going downhill. Fortunately there's ARTE or some odd cultural interesting thing, but rather late into the night... I know I avoid TV as much as I can.
Hi Floss, although we have Sky at our house, we use our laptop to watch tv programmes through the tv channel websites - you might be able to do this too? you have to wait until after the programme has been aired. We do this with Eastenders for example because it clashes with bedtime. Bettyx
Enjoy x
Glad to hear you are enjoying yourselves! It is cold out so to settle down with the tele and cosy up must be really nice...xxx
Dear Floss
I've just caught up on your recent posts - phew! what a time of it you've had !! So it is great to hear that you're enjoying some good old BBC fare and the fish & chips too! I'm sending lots of healthy thoughts for your family and really hope that March can see an easier month for you,
Take care!

AH but Auntie Beeb's hitherto beloved i-player does NOT have episode 2 of Ferghal Keane's History of Ireland which I missed last Sunday night and WE ARE NOT AMUSED!
BBC i-player will not play for people outside the UK! I suppose that's only fair...
I have i player in France. you have to pay 50€ a year but it's well worth it. I'll sned you a mail if you're interested
Sue
