Loving the BBC!

No photos yet, but what a holiday treat - the boys and I are snuggled up on Son 2's bed, having wathced the Hairy Bikers and now watching Kate H doing the Spice Trail....

Think you`d better explain to the uninitiated what the `Hairy Bikers` are/do? I always seem to catch them when I`m starving!lol Hope you`re having fun/keeping warm in Auld Reekie and that you Dad`s faring a bit better now. x

It's true that the quality of French TV programmes has been steadily going downhill. Fortunately there's ARTE or some odd cultural interesting thing, but rather late into the night... I know I avoid TV as much as I can.

Hi Floss, although we have Sky at our house, we use our laptop to watch tv programmes through the tv channel websites - you might be able to do this too? you have to wait until after the programme has been aired. We do this with Eastenders for example because it clashes with bedtime. Bettyx

AH but Auntie Beeb's hitherto beloved i-player does NOT have episode 2 of Ferghal Keane's History of Ireland which I missed last Sunday night and WE ARE NOT AMUSED!

BBC i-player will not play for people outside the UK! I suppose that's only fair...

I have i player in France. you have to pay 50€ a year but it's well worth it. I'll sned you a mail if you're interested
