Bridges

We crossed the Forth Rail Bridge today.£5 return for me and 'kids go free'.
A wonderful experience for the train-mad, bridge-construction-fan Son 1.
And we even finally reassured Son 2 that it wasn't going to collapse under our train, after over 100 years of use!Son 1 took this photo of 'a really perfect suspension bridge' on the way home.

In fact, the boys took all these photos.

The Bridges are marvellous, aren`t they? Even better now that you can drive across the Road Bridge and not have to pay! They`re talking a about building a third bridge because the existing Road Bridge needs so much work done to it - the cables are eroding beyond repair apparently!

What wonderful photos and bridges as well. A good bridge is a wonderful sight. I'm going to go over our harbour bridge next week to pick up a special guest! Guess who's coming to stay?

Well tell them that the first one- with the tiny houses in the corner- is a fabulous shot to show the scale of the thing- it would be amazing blown up and framed!

I love bridges like that - one of the reasons I like going to Bristol / crossing one of the two Severn Bridges! Have a good weekend! Abby x
