I'm a happily married mum of two boys, aged 17 and 19, and as a family we moved to France eleven years ago. My husband works for a French company, I teach English to French people aged 6 - 60, and English reading and writing to the English-speaking children of the area. We are part of an English speaking church in Lyon. I love to shop for French vintage lace, fabric and household items, and to combine them with my British and global treasures in interesting ways.
Thanks for coming over to my British-meets-French Vintage blog! Please leave a comment - I love to hear from anyone who takes the time to read my posts, and I try to pop back and visit your blogs whenever I can.

Reality Check
I am not a perfect mother or housewife. There is dog hair under the sofa and the boys eat with their elbows on the table, however much they're nagged. I just assume you'd rather see the pretty stuff!

Hogmanay
The frosty fair is in the centre of Edinburgh. Torchlight processions are held every night.Tonight we will celebrate the Scotts New Year - Hogmanay! Have a wonderful celebration, wherever you are.
Hi Floss, You visited my blog a few weeks ago and I didn't get back to you, sorry! You asked about greyhounds and cats. Unfortunately greyhounds are trained for racing by chasing small furry objects, They are also sight hounds and attracted by anything that moves, therefore if they see a cat or small dog walking or running they will want to chase it. Other than this they are quite placid easy going dogs. Some are even cat friendly but this is unusual rather than the norm. Have a great Hogmanay, I've enjoyed my visit to you. I alrady wrote this out once but lost it, so I've kept it shorter this time, must post now before I press a wrong key and loose it again!
Happy New Year Floss - so glad you were able to spend time with your Mum! Blessings to you and yours xx ps my word verification is SNEBBALL - is that scottish for 'snowball'?!
