Someone has done a bit of recup' here, a good while ago.
Two great pieces of crochet have been stitched onto two, rather different, blue cushions. I may need to tidy them up a bit, but I like them!
Always worth picking up a bit of crochet...
Especially if it will look good on a somewhat battered cushion!
Crochet doilies seemed readily available - I think that something along the lines of dottie angel's banner tutorial could be produced from these!
So I moved from training for university lessons to buying doilies, to teaching 6-year old twins, to taking lessons for 12 and then 14 year olds! Shortly after that I lost the power of coherent speech - it could surely happen to anyone.

Thanks for your very kind comments, and I hope that many of you are enjoying your ginger bickies (which probably are indeed good for dunking, Jus)!

Beautiful treasures! Glad to see you are coherent again too! Suzie xxx
Incoherent you may feel, but as always your post is lovely!
Goodness me what a lot of pretty finds!
I clicked the banner tutorial link too - lovely stuff.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Floss. X
Some beautiful finds - you are doing well on your challenge :)
I think you have found some amazing things - I did buy some very sweet china cups and plates in Barnardos today, but actually felt slightly guilty, because I do have quite a lot of china already. But there is a high rate of attrition in our house, so one must be prepared! Your speech may be a bit incoherent, but your writing seems to hang together pretty well!

I love the cushions! The challenge is going well for you...not quite as good for me?!! LOL!!
I think Tif has indeed brought about an acceptance of all things doily. Very nice ones you have there too I might add! I'm quite envious actually. I also wouldn't mind those blue cushions with the crochet. Very, very nice. Good outing that was!
Nice goodies.Crochet doilies looks so good and tidy.
Have a happy weekend!
Glad to see that you are still coherent enough to blog!
Very nice cushion finds. "Paris" is probably the name of the Royal Albert pattern rather than where it was made!

Isn't it funny how sometimes it seems the charity shop finds have a theme.
