Bryony, Brambles and Honeysuckle

Son 1 and I took the increasingly elderly Raja for a walk on the Coulée Verte this evening. After a cool day (not above 25°C) she was full of energy and we had a great time - and the combination of these wild climbers was a beautiful sight.
My mum loved 'things climbing through things' in her garden, and I feel that these three live up well to her philosophy of gardening! They were very high up - we won't be able to pick the blackberries when they come, but they do look like they're going to be juicy...

There is nothing lovelier than flowering things climbing and twining. I do agree with your mum;s philosophy. I'm working hard at training clematis and roses to do that too.

It's definitely berry pinking season! I wish a berry picker would make a cobbler and invite me over for tea!
Don't we always think of our dear parents? My sweet dad passed away this month and I've been thinking of him so much.

I so agree with Barbara (Elizabethd) climbing plants add a dimension to the garden and often scent and vivid colour too.

I am currently nurturing 2 yellow jasmines over an arch in my garden and waiting for an orange Campsis that I thought was dead to bring forth a flower among its abundant leaves!

Yes there is definitely something magical about climbing and twining plants. Although we are only just basking in sunshine, my thoughts are on Autumn already!
