And thanks to Jane, who posted this wonderful Lenten reflection last year, which I suggested could be a theme for this year! Let's post as usual (on Sundays or Mondays in Lent, starting this week), and take the meditation Jane posted as a rough theme:
Fast from - Feast
on
-
Fast from judging others; Feast on the Christ dwelling within them.
-
Fast from emphasis on differences; Feast on the unity of life.
-
Fast from apparent darkness; Feast on the reality of light.
-
Fast from thoughts of illness; Feast on the healing power of God.
-
Fast from words that pollute; Feast on phrases that glorify.
-
Fast from discontent; Feast on gratitude.
-
Fast from anger; Feast on patience.
-
Fast from pessimism; Feast on optimism.
-
Fast from worry; Feast on divine order.
-
Fast from complaining; Feast on appreciation.
-
Fast from negatives; Feast on affirmatives.
-
Fast from unrelenting pressures; feast on unceasing prayer.
-
Fast on hostility; Feast on non-resistance.
-
Fast from bitterness; Feast on forgiveness.
-
Fast from self-concern; Feast on compassion for others.
-
Fast from personal anxiety; Feast on eternal truth.
-
Fast from discouragements; Feast on hope.
-
Fast from facts that depress; Feast on verities that lift.
-
Fast from lethargy; Feast on enthusiasm.
-
Fast from thoughts that weaken; Feast on promises that inspire.
-
Fast from shadows of sorrow; Feast on the sunlight of serenity.
-
Fast from idle gossip; Feast on purposeful silence.
-
Fast from problems that overwhelm; Feast on prayer that strengthens.

Oh so glad you are doing this again, I would love to join in again.
I'll join you, Floss, though seem to have very few original thoughts at the moment.
Righto- I was thinking about this and you all day today! Mainly realsing how disappointed I was not to have seen you talking about it, but realising that i wouldn't join because of a lack of insight! last year I cheated and played lots of Rend! But actually, please do sign me up. Lent is such a special time of year, and here in your Blogland is the only place I get to share that with anyone! Huge hugs to you, Floss. You are such a blessing x
Thanks Floss- count me in!!
Great! I'd love to join in!!x
Beautiful....Ash Wednesday snuck up on me this year....Heidi
OK I'm in! I'm feeling totally unprepared (we've only just had Christmas haven't we?!) so maybe this will give me motivation (as I always need!) to pause at least once a week!
I am glad you are doing this again, please count me in. I was wondering about this just the other day.
Glad to see you are hosting this again this Lent!
I won't be posting this year Floss but will visit often, Betty
Just to say, Floss, if you do a link-up on your side bar, I'm joining in as Dormouse at View from the Teapot, not as Fat Dormouse at FD Getting Thinner...
Thanks! I've done my first post - which surprisingly came out of nowhere! - I look forward to reading others'.
Hi Floss, I LOVED how you started it "Phew, thanks for reminding me..." :) I've been so extra busy this year as well, I almost forgot Lent but remembered at the last minute but never got a chance to pop over here - I hope I'm not too late. My writing schedule at SandwichINK.com is a bit more fluid this year but I'll do my best to have these on Sunday or Monday this month anyway. :)
Have a blessed and beautiful Season of Lent and Easter.
