Faded roses at the Charity Shop

On a shelf high above my head I spotted some faded roses:
They belong to a double quilt, entirely hand stitched...
And now it belongs to me... happy little sigh...

I am sure that quilt is very happy to have such a lovely new home where it's greatly appreciated.

Perhaps this is a good reminder to us to ...look up!

What a beautiful quilt, can't help thinking about who made it and the amount of time they must have spent on all those little stiches. Often think how nice it would be to know the history of 'new to us' finds. Maria
