A Pause in Advent, 2012

Some sweet people (in the USA, Britain and France) have expressed the hope that we'll be doing the Pause in Advent again this year - thank you so much to them for keeping the thought going while I'm so busy! The answer is yes, I will be delighted to host this four-week event again, where you are invited to post every Sunday or Monday in Advent, on any subject of your choice that helps us to think about the quieter, calmer aspects of getting ready for Christmas. Please see any of my posts in previous Decembers for examples, and let me know if you'd like to get involved this year! I'm so busy teaching that I may only manage the once-a-week posts, but I think I'll need those Pauses to take a moment to reflect on what Advent and Christmas should mean to me. Will you join us, please?

I was thinking about this earlier and wondering if it was going to happen again this year.

I'd certainly like to give it a go again in 2012 - I've a couple of themes in mind - just need to think of another two.

Thank you Floss! I may not manage them all, as I'm off to the UK mid December, but I will enjoy following other people.
PomPom is right - the posts that people make do mean a lot and encourage us to think a little more about Christmas and Advent.

Hi Floss, I know what you mean about being so busy. The Sandwich Generation issues of my life have been heating up like crazy for me. But yes, I would love to try to join in again as well at SandwichINK.com. One grandson spent the night tonight and we started decorating the tree together and decided to start our Advent times together early, because there will be plenty of days we'll miss. So this is perfect timing. Have a blessed and beautiful week!

Y'know, I think I'm going to give this a try. I avoid "commitment" blogging, b/c it rather stresses me. But this is the opposite, right? No stress. Thanks!

Floss said...

Totally - no stress, M.K! Thank you for joining, and if you have to miss a week, or more, no need to apologise...

This is a lovely idea and coincidentally my post today rather fits with your four week programme. What do I need to do to link my post in please? Thank you so much for hosting this - really special. I look forward to catching up with other pausing in Advent posts. E x
